Actress Deepika Padukone has spoken about her pairing with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, whom she calls her “favourite co-star”, as they are all set for the release of their upcoming film ‘Pathaan’.

The two stars have previously worked in films such as ‘Om Shanti Om’, ‘Happy New Year’ and ‘Chennai Express’.

“Shah Rukh and I have been very lucky to have had the opportunity to work in some incredible movies starting with Om Shanti Om! I’m collaborating with my most favourite co-star Shah Rukh. We have a beautiful relationship and I think the audience always see that in the movies that we do,” said Deepika.
Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn are all praises for each other. Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Bhola’ teaser was unveiled earlier today. As Ajay spoke to the media at the launch, he shared his excitement around the advance opening that ‘Pathaan’ has received. Ajay shared that after the success of ‘Drishyam 2’, more films should do good business in order to pump in life into Bollywood which has not been doing very well since the lockdown restrictions eased post-pandemic.
Soon after, Shah Rukh Khan thanked Ajay during an #AskSRK session on Twitter when a fan shared Ajay Devgn’s clip and asked him for his response.
“Ajay has been a pillar of support and love to me and my family for years. He is a wonderful actor and beautiful human being. Strong and silent,” Shah Rukh Khan replied on the post.
The Gujarat unit of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Tuesday withdrew its protest against Shah Rukh Khan-starrer “Pathaan”, a day before its release, expressing satisfaction over the removal of “objectionable” contents from the film.
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has revised the “obscene song” and “lewd words” in the film and hence the right-wing groups will no longer protest against its release, the Gujarat VHP’s secretary Ashok Raval said in a statement.
During the teaser launch of his upcoming film ‘Bholaa’, Ajay Devgn expressed his views on the hype around ‘Pathaan’ and shared, “After the film (Drishyam 2), became superhit I would say, we need more three-four superhit films. Because after the pandemic things had slowed down and we need to inculcate that habit among people to come to theatres to watch a film. So let’s keep fingers crossed. I want every film to be super duper hit.
Like, Pathaan is releasing and whatever reports we are reading about the advance booking it seems fantastic and I am very happy about it from the bottom of my heart. And I tell this to everyone that we all should be very happy about this.”
Shah Rukh Khan had an AskMeSRK session ahead of the film’s release on January 25. The actor shared a tweet wherein he extended a warm hug to all for making ‘Pathaan’ special and expressing his gratitude for the same.
He wrote, “A big hug to all for making #Pathaan so loved. Those who danced, put up cut outs, bought out halls, all fan clubs, made t shirts, prayed, helped to ease issues & made it a festival. It’s good to be in theatres, feels like home. A quick #AskSRK for fun.”

Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’, even after being dogged by controversy, has experienced a record-breaking start. The movie has already surpassed the milestones set by Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s ‘Brahmastra’ last year.
The advance booking numbers for ‘Pathaan’ point to the movie making massive revenue at the box office. Within just two days of its advance booking, the Shah Rukh Khan-starring movie reportedly shattered Brahmastra’s previous record for the most advance tickets sold.
On Sunday evening, the actor showed up outside Mannat to meet his fans, as he usually does.
Despite not actively promoting his movie, the actor made a rare appearance for the crowds of devoted fans waiting outside his residence. Before the premiere of ‘Pathaan’, a massive crowd gathered in front of Shah Rukh Khan’s mansion to catch a glimpse of the actor. Without failing his eager supporters, the superstar gave them the warmest welcome possible.
The actor posted a video of the scene outside his house on Instagram, and it pretty much went viral. “Thank you for a lovely Sunday evening… sorry but I hope ki laal gaadi waalon ne apni kursi ki peti baandh li thhi. Book your tickets to #Pathaan and I will see you there next,” he wrote in the caption along with the video.

Trade expert Taran Adarsh said ‘Pathaan’ will revive Bollywood and will mark the beginning of a fantastic 2023 for the industry, which went through a lean period during covid and in 2022.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who plays a spy in the upcoming release ‘Pathaan’, may have been idolised as the king of romance by his countless fans across the globe, but the actor personally loves the action genre and always wanted to be an action hero.
The ‘King’, as he is known, is returning to the silver screen after a wait of four long years, and his fans are certainly waiting with bated breath to watch him in action on screen.

Talking about his character in ‘Pathaan’, the superstar shared: “Pathaan is an easy guy, doing a lot of tough things and I think he’s naughty, he’s tough but doesn’t wear it on his sleeve. He’s trusting. He’s honest and I think he very single-mindedly thinks of India as his mother.”
Four years of anticipation will finally be over next week. ‘Pathaan’ will open in theatres on January 25, 2023, and Shah Rukh Khan fans are losing their minds over it. Meanwhile, the first song of the film, ‘Besharam Rang’ drew a lot of controversy because of the saffron colour bikini sported by Deepika in the song.
